At Enspiral, we’re committed to Live Below the Line in August, and we’re supporting our good friends at The Global Poverty Project.
Over 1.4 billion people on our planet live on less than $2.25 a day, lacking basic choices in their lives that we take for granted in New Zealand.
We don’t think that is acceptable and want to do our bit to help out. So for 5 days from August 22 – 26 each member of team enspiral will each spend just $2.25 (the equivalent of the International Extreme Poverty Line) on their food and drink each day to raise money and awareness for this issue.
Extreme poverty is as much a blight on our collective conscience as slavery was and our generation can go down in history as the one that ends it. New Zealand has some organizations doing great work and we are keen to help them out.
We have also sent the following challenge to a few businesses we know:
For too long our companies have vied for position and it is time to settle things once and for all. We hereby challenge you to a duel. A fundraising duel to help eradicate extreme poverty.
Dates: 22-26 August
Weapons: Team Fundraising Pages
Location: Live Below the Line
Twist: You also need to duel one other company and pass this challenge on to them (and they must pass onto someone else, etc – yes it’s a viral thing)
Who wins: The team with the highest average funds raised per team member
Spoils to the winner: Much Glory – the loser will produce written word (email, blog or press release) extolling the fundraising virtues of the victor and share it with the world.
You can read more about this challenge on our blog, feel free to use any of our copy to challenge other companies if you wish.
To accept this challenge post up your own blog post and send us the link to your team fundraising page, do you have what it takes to beat Team Enspiral ?
Have at you!
PS
If you are too busy, chicken or addicted to coffee to accept you are more than welcome to support our efforts with a donation

Thanks to the Wellington Ukulele Orchestra we now have a couple of t-shirts to give away to top fundraisers – we’ll figure out who to give them too over the course of the event.
